In the storm...Today's Lesson: The Wind

Afternoon Outerself:

I decided to take time in the midst of the waves to write to you today. Not to the people that may or may not come by my page today, but to you, my blog, my outerself that sometimes can not connect with my innerself.

You're going through a storm right now, there is not doubt about it. You've chosen not to involve those around you in your storm, but it's here now. It's no longer approaching, it's here, in the midst. The waves of life are pounding the sides of the vessel that holds your spirit, mind, and body. It will attack them all, albeit it in different ways. Your outcome will be determined by the steps with which you take to weather this storm and to see it through. However, unlike mother nature's ways, there are no breaks in the clouds here, no brief moments of quiet time before the next round. You must address the attacks as the rain falls harder. For this wind, this rain, this thunder; is a molding process to test and set your course of life on the track predestined for you, long before your existence.

Addressing your Spirit (wind):

As the storm is now upon you, you feel the wind. While you can't see it, you know with all of your might that it has the capabilities to do great things, as well as the capabilities (if not given direction) to lose you in disarray. This wind....this Spirit that dwells within you, has come upon you with great force at this point in your life, because you have gone for quite some time neglecting it, and now it seeks to be a major player in your life. It doesn't seek to rule you, it seeks to comfort you. But little do you know that you have supressed your wind so long that it has become violent, likened unto the pressure of pipes, held back from releasing its steam. It will consume you, however you must control your affection towards it in order to fully understand the balance it has in your life. It doesn't come to kill, steal, or destroy. It comes to give life and give it more abundantly. But Outerself, you have neglected it. I say unto you, the only way you will be able to channel this forceful wind is to own up to your actions, take responsibility for the decisions that you make, and make your habits in line with the directional path that the vectors of this wind is taking you. Set your sails in a direction that allows the winds to carry you. For far to long now you have set them against this force and now it has come upon you to change your ways. Will you? Change your ways? Will you? Understand that you must be consumed by the wind in order to breathe? Will you? Realize that the path you have recently walked was treaded unnecessarily? Will you? For once in your life, do something different that the norm?

If you choose not to then I feel for us both. I feel for the pain that we will endure. I hope you realize that while I dwell on the inside of us, I feel pain. I feel the emptiness that you have helped to cause by not allowing the wind to take its place within us. I ask you today, no I emplore you, to understand the purpose of the wind. To understand that the reason it beats upon us so strongly is that it is trying to keep us from continuing down this path. It has seen where this path leads to, and asks us to hearken unto it. To allow it to carry us to a better place in life.

Will you? Outerself? Realize that we are not two, but one? Will you? Outerself? Realize that we are falling on hard times because we have choosen not to work together?

Will you? Help me, help us?

I digress......

Revealing Lation

You know, in my four years of blogging, I don't think that I have mentioned my mom more than once or twice. However, she has become the inspiration for the title of today's post. While she'll probably never read this post, our conversation yesterday was offly inspiring.

Yesterday, mom and I were discussing a new book she'd picked up from the store. It was T.D. Jake's newest book, Reposition Yourself. You see, she's going through a period of her life where she is slap in the middle of repositioning herself. Now that's not the main focus of this post. However, during the conversation, the revalation came to me that "Our Journey becomes our Testimony". During our conversation, my attention was quickly brought to my own personal blog "The Journey". It hit me during this thought, that over the past four years, I have gone from a "New Beginning" (name of my old blog), to "The Journey". I've had several people post comments on my blog, letting me know that they have been inspired by events in my life, and to not stop writing based on the negativity that is often times blabbed in the comments section. I think this has been the course that I've been taking over the past few weeks. More posts, more intimacy (seeing into me). I like things this way. Being a good steward for a righteous cause. I hope there are others out there that are getting fed, beacuse I sure am fed by you guys blogs.

Quick Update:

1. So I had a talk with Knightmare (aka 3rd point of view) yesterday after work. Don't let the name fool you, he's more of the intellectual type, rather than the actual Knightmare...well outside of the summer of 2002, lol. In any event, I think that's what inspired him to post on my #4 issues from the last few weeks. After reading his comments, and working this morning......why in the world did I get a text message from #4 saying "Have a good day". Sooner or later (probably sooner) it will sink in that she lost something dang good.

2. This probably should have been #1. I'm going back to school you guys! Can you believe it! After 2 years of exile, I'm re-entering the halls of academia! This time it's for my Masters of Economics. Pray for me you guys! I'm going to need it. I spoke with the Dean of Econ. a few weeks ago, and we both came to as consensus that many of my classes from my MBA program would merge with the M.A. in Economics, so hopefully I'll be done some time in 2009.

3. Why have I spent my last two mornings at work doddling with my blog? Yesterday I worked on a few asthetics....today, I've decided to post these comments.

All in all, I can honestly say that I feel the world rotating you guys. As if tomorrow is beginning to show it's face, and I must admit, it is clearly better than the face of today. I guess the only issue left to deal with, is can you (I) withstand the face of today (adversity) in order to see the face of tomorrow (hope).

Be blessed you Guys (God is here)
