Duplicate Billing

I swear....if I get one more dupliate billing dispute from one of my customers I'm going to SCREAM!

You see I work for an accounting group, and we often get disputes from customers saying that we billed something wrong.....for whatever reason!!! Well, for the past two weeks, the customer (whose name I will divulge - Maersk Sealand) has been drilling me with disputes! I'mma have to get on the phone with somebody, cause this is clearly taking up my blog time, lol.

Regrouping

I had a good day today! Actually I've had a couple of good days, which is good considering I'm broke, lol. Just kidding. Anyways, thanks to all who posted your thoughts during the last two weeks. It was and is much appreciated. It seemed like just as I got enthused about blogging again, I was taken away. But I'm back now, so now more breaks.

Back to my life:

I had lunch today, with the homewrecker. Please understand that her name doesn't reflect who she is, it only reflects what she had for lunch from Moe's, lol. She's older, but definitely ironic in nature. About to "jump the broom", we had a good conversation about that process (her getting married), and about people in general. She let me in on the fact that women really do talk about the idiocincricies(sp) that we men do on a daily basis. Although she did clue me in on things that women discuss as well. And believe me, you....I was awfully surprised that women talk about that "stuff". Yeah yeah yeah...sex was part of it, lol. Anyways, the discussion went from that to religion and some of everywhere else. I think the best part of the conversation was that she was rather open to converse with. I'm a pretty personal person, and other than the woman I'm currently dating, I don't converse with many
people about my personal life.

SOC - "Stream of Consciousness"

So lately I've been doing a lot of thinking about where I am in life, and where I'd like to be headed. In the midst of those thoughts I begin, and have been for a few days now; thinking about my relationship with God. I think now, with all that has happened, I'm able to being to see our relationship maturing. For as long as I can remember I've seen my relationship with God not as pseudo (in no way), but as hampered, due to my immaturity in growing in His will. Riding home today I just felt closer to Him, more emotionally attached to Christ. I hoping that this process of growing helps to deter all bad thoughts and temptations that have crossed my mind recently.

SOC

Man I need a hair cut! I haven't had a cut in like 2 weeks. I'd contimplated letting it grow, so we'll see. But with DW's wedding next week, it isn't that easy.

Ok, 2 mins left in the Pistons - Heat game. Talk to you guys in the morning.

It hurts...

It just turned 12:01am. I know that I should be in the bed, but I heard some really disturbing news today about someone that means a great deal to me. It has to deal with death, which is about as deep into the situation as I want to go.

I don't cry anymore, well at least not in like 3 years. Not because of some "macho" man thing. I can't really explain it. I mean after losing a: grandfather, grandmother (step), grandmother (maternal), uncle (3X), cousin, and I'm only 24, death in some sense....has been initiated into my soul.

I think that the only times I cry/become emotional is when the pressures of all the things weighing on me comes crumbling down.....like now..................................................................

Mrs. B was one of the nicest women in the world. I remember seeing her in Office Max. She was making church brochures on the copy machine. I walked up to her, and as always she said to me: "Hey, my future son-in-law. How have you been?" I remember her since I was about 7 years old, when they lived in the blue house behind the college, with the fence in the front yard.......

I'll miss you Mrs. B. I hope you always know that I loved you just like I love my own mom.

Your work here was just finished, and God needed you to do his work in Heaven, so I'll have to understand.

May God continue to bless FB, RB, and BB.

Good night God....

Catching up....somewhat.

Someone once said that ....in order to live life we must first live (and conceiveably understand) ourselves. I awoke this morning...much like each other morning I'm blessed with. Although not to the sounds of the pesturing chirping birds outside, or the German Shepard who you can hear barking from half way down the street.....but to the sound...the beat...the motion....of mine own soul.

*Hot Chocolate settles on my stomach*

This weekend was quite the eventful few days. For the first time I did the Cinco De Mayo party in the SWATs (SouthWest AtlanTa). It was cool. Albeit I didn't know a whole lot of folx there, the few that I did helped to ease any uneasiness I might have had. Saturday was cool too...I went to a bachelor/bachelorette party. It's was for my cousin and his fiancee (one of my old highschool classmates). They're having a destination wedding in Orlando on June 1st! I think the older I get the more I think that marriage (and weddings) are ok. I use to think that I'd never see the day when I thought they were acceptable, but I guess maturity does these kinds of things to you.

*more hot chocolate*

I probably should be working, but it's just too quiet of a morning for me not to sneak away and divulge myself....to myself. It's kinda like my own office gossip. Only this way, no one ever has to know.

*So what's new KJD?*

WOW, since October a lot of things have changed....where do I begin, where do I begin. Well last time I posted I was living up in Smyrna Ga in a nice/halfway nice two bedroom apartment. Since then the following events have happened....in somewhat of an order.

1. Roommate got Married.
2. I was in the wedding (Groomsman)
3. Roommate moved out (there goes the halved bills)
4. My house hunt heats up.
5. I move into another apartment temporarily/until I find a house.
6. I get my raise (wheeeeeww - who).
7. I find a house in Lithonia Ga.
8. Feburary 13th 2006, God blessed me with my first home!
9. The first month or so is cool because there's no mortgage, lol.
10. April 1st - The mortgage fooled me when it left my bank account, lol.

There's so much more that has gone on in between these events, but they'd take days to babble about, so for now I'll leave it here.....cause it's past 7:30, and I know my supervisior doesn't approve of blogging, lol.

I'm sure I'll be back today though.....so stay tuned for more interesting developments....

Cyclical Effects

There is no concise rhyme or reason as to why I chose to take this 8 month break from blogging. Although as I look back and reflect...those who have so often said that hindsight is 20-20 should receive some sort of world renowned reward.

I've been burning inside to post for quite some time now though, and now that I'm here I can't clearly get my thoughts across. Maybe it's writer's block...then again maybe it's the thing that has kept me away for such a long time.

*Where there is nothing left to do.....massage your soul*

I think that often time satan/lucifer (whatever you choose to call him) picks and probes at us, much as a doctor does a patient. He embellish our inequities and peels our unhealed scabs. I can admit now, much that I wasn't able to admit in certain parts of my life.....I do have issues that need dealing with.

My Issues: (wouldn't the world like to know)
1. Money....and how to ration(alize) it.
2. Woman (in the plural sense)...and how to love and let go(d).
3. Myself....and how to leave well enough ALONE.

See I got it all out in 3 short sentences.

------------

So lately I've been having trouble praying. I think that it has a lot to do with #3 above though. You know that old cliche...."when you know better"...."you do better". Well I think that that applies to my life to a "T". I mean I make mistakes. But the problem is really that I make the mistakes, its that I know that I"m going to make the mistake before I make it.....and yet I still go through with it. Conceptually...is that really a mistake. I mean am I really being "real" with myself. As I'm writing this, I'm searching for a more emotionally correct word to describe it. I'll clue you in when I find it. In the mean time I'll continue racking my brain for the answer.

So back to praying. Often times when I pray, I feel as though I'm avoiding the real reason I took the time out to honor and communicate with the Father. It's crazy because often times I feel as though I'm "Sugarcoating" with God, and I know that's wrong. But it's clear I must have the answer because #1 I know that I must go to God, and #2 I know of my mistakes/problems before they occur.

So the answer....more Word...better surroundings...more obedience...more faithfulness. I'm working on it...daily. Maybe some facets more than others, but I'm working none the less.

Thanks for listening....

I'll be back more often now (God Willing). I have so much more today, but today this needed to be released. I hope you take this not only as a portion of my life, but as a message to the soul.
