Sup:
Just wanted to stop in today, before I got off of work and speak....kinda talk to my world about....my world. This past weekend was really good....I could have done without Saturday afternoon, but for the most part it was truly livable. For Father's Day, my oldest sibling and I played softball back home. Of course we won, but I realized something though.......its not as easy as it use to be to hit a softball, lol. I guess its either because I'm so use to baseballs or that I haven't played in quite sometime though. I played second base, and did good at that though. I'm going back on the 10th to play in this tourneyment. Back to some sort of baseball.....I love this game! Anyways, what made the day so good, was that my father came out to umpire the game. Mind you that he is in his mid-50's, but he is still active. Sunday reminded me of when we were kids and played softball with my pops in a rec. league. Those were the days. Anyways, Im off to St. Louis this week. North Carolina was cool, kinda hot though. But overall a good trip, and a good learning experience. Catch you guys soon.

Have you ever had those times in life where you feel like you are on the brink of something good in life, but you can't see pass the curtains? That's how I feel right now. I trully feel that it is a test from God. I think that He wants to know just how faithful I am going to be to His word. Things in life aren't too bad these days so I can't complain. Just got paid (*note to self...pay tithes*). Leaving to go to North Carolina tomorrow, so I don't have to worry about gas for three days. Just got invited to a Braves Game on Friday (in which I am still debating if I want to spend that much money to go, I hope its the nose bleed section), leaving back out on Tuesday to fly to St. Louis for a week (more gas money saved...lol). I think that most exciting thing about going to St. Louis for me is....taking pictures..haha. I know that sounds strange, but I didn't get to do a whole lot of traveling when I was younger, so these minut experiences hopefully will be meaningful. *Subject Change* The other day a friend of mine posted a comment/book on a groups that we have. His comment dealt with the lack of ability to find quality women in the Atlanta Area. I haven't replied to his post just yet, but I totally agree with it. I mean in a day and age when there is so much stuff going on about men (whether women are calling us dogs or saying that every guy is on the "DL" (which I still don't get that one)), why is it so difficult for a good man (like myself) to find a woman. But not just any woman, I mean a woman with the tools, spiritually, mentally, emotionaly, and physically to be ones Wife (yeah, real men can use the W word.). It just seems like these days many women are so caught up in the "night life" that they neglect to discover the morning after, when that man is still by your side through it all. I'd relate it to a one-night-stand if you asked me. Girl meets guy (or vice versa) at the club (night time), and has the crunkest time ever. Then either one of two things occur. 1 - Guy falls for the woman, but the woman is not "at the level" for a relationship or 2 - Woman falls for guy, but Guy is just in for a good time. Forget that.....I'mma stop meeting women at night (new non-negotiable,lol). Anywho....I'm still in awe trying to figure out where do the 'real women' hang out.....I need to be up in there, lol, nah just kidding, I know I know, God has the perfect woman for me. (Not the perfect woman keep in mind, but the perfect woman for ME!) Anywho, this morning was good. Got outta bed feeling somewhat rejuvinated, considering I went to be at almost 1:00am (Was up last night talking to someone who seemed as driven as I am, hope we talk again tonight..lol). I had lunch with VLG, which was cool. We went to this "cafeteria (I still don't know the official name of it)" off of Mitchell Street (all soul food, man that was good, lol). Welllllll, Im ready to get outta here (work) though. It just seems like I have so much to do. Talk to you later.

Afternoon:
I know the other day I came on here with pent up anger about all the things that had gone wrong in my day. On the contrary, today I wanna talk about how good God has been to me. That Wednesday, June 9th, when I came on here venting my frustrations, I went to bible study that night (sidenote - told yall I was gonna pray about it). Anyways, between that night and right now, things have been really good. We got the apartment, I get paid on the 15th, thank the Lord, and today I wanna express my feelings about "post-mid-march" (click for info on mid-march).
Where do I begin....Ok! For reasons that would constitute breaching a womans rights, I won't use names. Girl A - I met her back in February, strickly through associations. She is an extremely nice person and is doing rather well for herself. But when we met, I was in a relationship and it was and has been always, just friends (no extras.) Well lately, she has been pushing the issue about "us", post mid-march, taking our friendship to another level. Well, I think she is cool and all, but I think that we are totally at two different stages in life. I mean we can't really communicate about issues well....especially spirituatlity, which is one of my non-negotiables. So I want to preserve the friendship, but not crush the association, ya know what im saying? Girl B I just met her, like maybe two/three weeks ago.....and from what I know of her, well lets just say that she is what I look for in a variety of ways. Yet the screwed up part is at this point in my life, I can't even begin to come off to her in that manner. These days I seem to busy trying to work on me that, I can't even begin to bring someone in....I want to, but I want to be able to be equally yoked with a woman. Which means she and I really have to be at the same level. Well, those two are really the only two people that really have my attention. I dont know what God has for me, but I'll keep my spiritual eyes open and I'm quite sure that he will show me.

Hey:
Its almost 3:00pm and I just realized that I have not gotten a chance to vent my frustrations today. I'm having another one of those, "dang why did things go so wrong today?"....Got up this morning, had to iron and hit the showers in a 35 minute time window....realistically speaking...wasn't gonna happen. Finally made it to my carpool's apartment (my day to drive, so you know something had to go wrong). I mentioned ironing didnt I? Well, get to work an hour later (not late, on time, just had an hour long drive)....anyways, get to work, My nicely starched shirt is an wrinkled as all out back doaws (slang pronunciation of doors). So, now I'm and hour away from home, at work in a professional office with a wrinkled up shirt....and it gets more wrinkled as the day goes on....fortunately I'll be off by the time I finish this post (thank God). So for the frustrations of my day....Get to work, find out that the trip to Charolotte planned for monday, may be pushed back till wednesday, which mean I wont get back until friday, then I have the Lock-in at the church friday night.....that was the first thing. Secondly, I had to travel all around Atlanta with this guy that I work with today, which wasnt too bad because it got me out of the office, which can be boring at times (but I aint complaining because I could be doing manual labor). So I had to travel all around the city wondering just how wrinkled my freakin shirt really was. (Im not self conscious by no means...if it was just a little be wrinkled it would have been ok, but noooooo...this mug, just keep shrivling up....go figure. So then we get back around 12:00pm...lunch time...good...right? Wrong! I decide that I would take a trip across midtown to find the Jersey Mike's we went to a few weeks back. And wouldnt you know it, I dang near got lost. Thankfully my roommate knows the area, so I hit him up on the cell. [insert only good news of the day] *Jersey Mike's has the best Chicken Philly's Anywhere {#16 Chicken Philly Reg.} So I get back to work, probably like 10 mins late, considering I got lost, and lo and behold, my supervisor was standing in my office, as if he was waiting on me.....go figure. So I told him that I didnt leave for lunch until late, because we had to go out this morning. So he proceeds to ask me about the trip next week to North Carolina, and I answer to try and change the subject. He made it seem as if he was in the office looking at the new surveying equipment we had picked up this morning, but I dunno. So now thats over.....shirts still wrinkled....and I promise you, it seems like every BIGWIG around came through today. I held my own, but normally, nobody comes to our department on a wednesday, go figure. Finally, I talked to my potential roommate for the new apartment...come to find out the Leasing Office is trying to screw us over with the deposit....they want an astronomical amount of money up front....They say its the credit, I say its cause we black men...we may not have a 800 beacon score, but ....oh well you get the point. So now im trying to figure out how im gonna front the loot to get the place, since we have already put down money to hold the apartment...........Just a screwed up day, but Imma pray about it when I make it home....and Im gonna throw this shirt away too.....see you tomorrow...same place, maybe not the same time though...peace

Morning:
I feel kinda bad, considering a co-worker told me that if he ever begin blogging that he would stop after the third day, and friday it seemed as if I would do the same. But oh well, I'm back! Weekend, weekend, weekends...Ironically I learned a lot this past weekend. A lot about myself, a lot about life, and a lot about others as well. Friday we did the D&B scene, but I really wasn't feeling that too hot. I never know that that many of us would use D&B for a hookup lounge. I am soo serious! I love my black women, but comon now. A place of business where lil kids come to play games and hang out with their families, and we have our sistas strollin up in there with dresses that literally stop at their waistline, sad state of affairs! About the only good thing that I can say came out of that night was the fact that I enjoyed hanging out with my chapter bruhs. DP brought his old high school homegirl there so conversation was deemed necessary. The relationships conversation came up of course, and as usual, we had different opinions. She told me something that seemed to be the biggest oximoron I had ever heard. She claims that she goes out to parks and museums with her significant other in order to get to know him???...that bothered me, because she doesnt deem it necessary to do these same things with him before they enter into a relationship. To put it more simplistic, she'd rather get into a relationship first, and then get to know the guy....maybe its just me. Anyhow, Saturday was MY day. I literally did nothing, except watch movies. Lord of the Rings "The Return of the King" [ four stars ****], Out of Time [five stars *****], Run Away Jury [four stars ****]. It was a good time to just relax as get some rest from the week. My sista [in a cool friend, grew up through high school, kinda way] came by on saturday night. She just got back from California serving her active duty time. I luv her to death, but I just don't see how anyone could/would want to be an Arabic Interrogator???? Go Figure. Sunday, Church was the bomb. Pastor preached on "Biggie Sizing" your life. I had always heard about Elijah and Elisha from the Old Testament, but like most stuff, just never took the time to find out for myself. It really put a lot of things into prospective. Things like, loyalty and dedication to Christ. Im working......walking & learning. I found out a lot about myself this weekend, and am thankful to God that I made it through. Another days journey and I am glad about it! I think I am gonna start the book today [The Purpose Driven Life]. Its about time for me to take life to another level, and I am realizing more and more each day how it must begin, increase, and end with Him. See you tomorrow.

I said yesterday that I thought last night was gonna be tiresome, but I would not have imagined me to be this tired......fortunately, it was worth it. After work yesterday, I went to talk to these kids at their after school program. You would be surprised at some of the stuff that I saw. I wondered where on God's Green Earth did their parents conjure up their names. This one little girl, no more than 10, was named shondrequelia......go figure. But on a brighter note, it was good to talk to them about self esteem and how they can be role models for each other as well as smaller kids. I feel kinda bad though, when the only way we can get our youth to speak up in front of people in by giving them money....... Well after about an hour there, I went to this cafe in downtown. Who could have imagined it.....four years of undergrad, and I be dang if as soon as I find this place I am blown away. Wish I could have found it freshman or sophomore year....oh well. It was good, once again, to be able to hang out with Brothers and Sisters that seem genuinely motivated at life. I saw this really cute girl, or rather woman there.....swept a bruh off his feet....I can't even begin to lie, but she will never know.....unless she gets my URL...hahahaha...Anyways, I do believe that I will see her again...hopefully soon, but I strongly doubt that she knows I find her attractive....welll gotta run. Duty calls, but Ill be back in a bit to finish talking about the Cafe....

Morning:
Have you ever woke up and just been out of it? Today is just one of those days when I want to be quiet....odd. I got up this morning, as normal, 4:50 - 5:00..same routine, but for some odd reason, somethings just seems different. I hope it is God doing something good with me. Its funny, because I promise you, as soon as I started typing this post, one of my favorite Gospel songs came on the radio at work (). I have very busy day today, which makes my lathargic attitude not coincide. I am gonna go speak to these kids down in Lagrange today about self esteem and character. Then I'm coming back to Atlanta for an open mic session at the Apache Cafe. I've never been there before, but I'm quite sure it will be interesting. I talked to a friend of mine for a while last night...she seems full of energy and ready to tackle the world, which is totally opposite of how I'm feeling. I know that I must press on and subdue all things working against me.....or maybe its just that I'm sleepy. Whichever it may be, I still must overcome..lololol. Immmmmmmmmmmm sooooooooo sleeeeeeeeppppppppppy. Ill be back, nap time.....peace

Good Morning All:
You ever wonder why stuff happens in life? Well without going into too much detail, I do. I went to a cookout last night with my frat brothers back in the country ole C-Town, as the locals call it. Good eatin as always. It's good to be able to sit back with a group of guys and women and have a good time without anybody tryin to "talk" to someone. Speaking of "talking", every since mid-march, things have been kinda odd. For those of you who dont know, mid-march constitutes "the break-a-part" (ok sidebar...anytime you hear me say "mid march", now you know what im talking about). There has been a few females that have actually been attractive, but for some reason or another....I don't know. It aint the pre-mid-march syndrome...really it aint. It's more of the I-want-more-after-mid-march-syndrome. I'm going to tell you like I told Marcus....I want a woman that is more than just a cute face (we have a ton of those, especially in the atlanta area). She has to have a relationship with Christ first and foremost. But other than that non-negotiable, I am looking for someone that I can be with and spiritually, emotionally, and financially (hahaha, but seriously). I want to be able to look at our "equally yoked souls" and see committment....ya know what im saying? Anyways, I'm gonna keep praying about it. Talk to yall soon.
