...before the New Year starts.
I know I've been somewhat incognegro lately, everything has been so hectic and consumed for the past week or two that I haven't gotten around to blogging. I would attribute it to my new office space, or lack there of, and not having the privacy that I'd had before in my old office. I started my new job on Monday, and I must say that it is a blessing. Its kinda overwhelming now, because I have yet to really grasp how everything works around the RACS department, but I know that in due time I'll get it down. I like the people, especially since everyone is young. I would expand more, but I think I'll wait a while longer to get a full grasp of how I feel about it....but all in all it is truly a reflection of true blessing on my life!
What else has been going on with me? Well I've been really trying to shed some weight! Strange though. Cause it seems like when I'm not running and going to the gym I can get down a few pounds, but I promise you, as soon as I start hitting Crunch, the weight seems to pile on? Go figure. I really wanna get down to 205 though....I saw a picture that I took when I was at 195lbs and I think that is going to be my motivation. But I'm not stressing it though...it'll come!
What else? Well Christmas was great!! I went back to good ole FV, and enjoyed a few days of great rest and relaxation with family and friends. I spent most of my time with my cousin, DW. He's stationed in California with the Army, and was able to come home for the holidays, so we kicked it hard.....kinda a way of packing in time lost into a few days. My brothers and I also got a chance to hang out. We usually spend our quality in front of the PS2, which was what happened this Christmas. And of course, moms is always a highlight of going back home...she, along with the rest of my family always has my back and I'm trully blessed to have that in my life. I also saw a couple of other friends, but not as many as I'd expected. I didn't get much for Christmas, because I think that God has really been blessing me all year long, but for my brief list, check out my new post on AboutMeKJD.
Other than that....what else has been going on around the house? Well its been kinda strange not have classes and working at the same time. I sometimes kinda feel like I'm being lazy "after I get off ""work"" "! Anywho, my first semester of Grad School is over and I managed a 3.5, which isn't bad, but I really wanna keep a high G.P.A and graduate with Honors, since I missed it in undergrad! Classes kick back into session on January 7th 2005, so it's about time to hit the grind again. I think I'll take 3 classes this semester.
Well, I don't have much more to say....and I think I'm going to tamper with my html a bit and do some much needed updating, so I hope to catch up with you guys soon! Thanx for stopping through!

Tilt..begin to pour my soul
Ok, so I figure I'll post this tomorrow (today) on my blog! You see I really don't ever sit down and "write" (pen to pad) anymore. I use to a while back, but for some odd reason I haven't been in a while. It's knida funny though, cause 99% of the time I always get "inspired" outside of the confines of my own house. Whether it be at church, during a great service, which today (yesterday) was, but I figure I'll post about it on walkingwithchrist!
As inspired as I am though, I'm having the hardest time separating myself from my surroundings in efforts to speedingly (sp) put these, my words, down on this pastel yellow pad. I've been really wanting to speak on relationships lately, moreso my feelings about my search for my one "true love." For those of you who frequently "walk" as I "learn", you'll recall that a while back I produced a piece called "Hwy True Love". Well, I dunno if I'll take that route with this post, or whether or not my tongues will even know what to write next. I feel so inspired now to jsut Pour Out My Soul, but due to other issues I just can't seem to get them out. So now I feel like I've wasted a perfectly good piece of paper, doing nothing, but rambling. I dunno if its the TV channel ( you know those radio stations on TV...well it'll play a good song, then switch to something horrible, so I have to stop writing to change the station. Or maybe its my roommate who just came in to ask me a question. Or just maybe its all the jumbled up thoughts in my head, that I just can't seem to get down on paper. Well that's one complete page full of rambling...maybe I can talk now!
Ok, so call me a hopeless romantic, or call me one of those dudes that believes Love, being in Love, falling in Love is a Timeless piece of Eternity, because I truly believe that it is! I've been quarreling lately about why I haven't found that "one" special person with whom I can share my most intimate thoughts, hopes, dreams, ambitions, etc... or maybe I have and just haven't realized it yet. I dunno though, which is why I'm writing on this. You see, I've adopted this new philosophy. I want to/need to Marry the Holy Spirit 1st! I've come to the understanding that in order for me to "know how to love"....I must "know love", and God teaches us that "He is Love!" So lately, I've really been seeking God for his love upon my life. See I know love, the literal, and can recite it from not until the rapture, but what I don't know fully is Love, in a spiritual sense, like I should, and that love is the love that I'm seeking. I wanna learn more about spiritual love, so that I'll know how to love the "RIB" that God places in my life to spend this worldly eternity with. You see, I need to be able to talk to her on a spiritual level. I need to be able to converse about the annointing on both our lives, because as I talk to her, as I love her; mind, heart, body, soul, & Spirit....I'm in every sense...Loving God...praising Him, worshiping His word. I want she & I to be able to go to God unlike adam & eve, but like sheep of His flock. For us both to yearn for Him more that we yearn for each other. So that He may increase the love we have for each other, while increasing our capacity to love Him.
I've come to the belief that God expands our capacity for the "Fruits of the Blessings" in our lives based on what we can handle. The more we seek Him, the more understanding we receive from Him, the more expanded our capacities become for entities in our lives. Right now I'm at a point where I'm desperately seeking Him, to know more about who it is that I will spend my years on this earth with, and hopefully for all Eternity to come.
Ok, I think I'll stop here...funny though, cause I think that I only got about 1/3 of what I wanted to get out...out! Patience KJD...Patience!
And I didn't even get a chance to delve into this weekend....but Thank you God for your revelations, All of Them! Especially the Dream! I wish I could tell you all about the dream, but I think that needs to stay between me and God. Well, thank you all for taking the time to listen to me squeeze our a few drops of my soul. Hope you come back soon for the next edition!
Stay blessed and filled with the Word!

Finding my Groove
Ok, if you will....and you will cause this is my blog, lololol...just trippin...let me start off today's post by expressing how good the revelation of faith can be in ones life, summed up in 4 words!
I GOT THE JOB!
Yep, I surely did! This has been one great week, simply because I'm still living, but moreso because of the feeling of Christ really living in my life!
*inspiration hits*
Ok, I'mma be real with you guys....right a I was getting ready to post, I was/am feeling terribly bad "on the inside." I was about [ ] <----- this close to posting a negative post on how down I'm feeling, but instead, I think I'm going to take the more proactive approach, and just really relay what's on my mind!
You see I'm trying to become a good MAN, but I promise you, it seems like Satan is always trying to rear his head into my situations. But I think that God has put me in front of the 8 Ball in these situation, so that I can attack before they attack me!
You see...you remember Girl A (*June 11 2004*)? Well she has attempted to try to come on the scene. She called me, and gave me this whole sob story about how she hasn't seen me in God knows how long....this, that, and the other! Well Girl A is cool, but definitely not my type, plus I have other things on my mind right about now anyways! Well, then she proceeds to go on about how she hasn't seen my new place, that I moved in back on the 1st of July, and trying to ask if she can come by! Well, she is a nice person and all, but she just isn't for me, and back in the day she tried to get too close to ya boi.....don't get me wrong...I love me some women, but I need to have a mutual attraction with you first! Anyways, I don't like to hurt peoples feelings, so telling her "NO" made me feel kinda bad.....I hope she doesn't take it the wrong way, but I don't wanna put either me or her in any bad situation...you know what I mean?
Secondly, one of my LB's (Line Brothers) is graduating this weekend. Now I don't mind, and would love to go to the commencement ceremonies, but here is the thing! There is a party tonight in Carrollton (1hr away), and he wants me to come to it, but it would defeat the purpose for me to go to the party, drive back to Atlanta, then drive back to Carrollton at 8:30am in the morning! I just wanna rest!
Then with this new job, I am trying my best to be patient in finding out more specifics about which Team I'll be on, so that is egging me also.
I really think the root of what is going on stems from the fact that last night I turned in my last final for the semester, and was under the impression that I'd have at least two weeks of sanity...when I get bombed rushed with stuff today....
But I'mma hold strong, and keep on believin in JC. I know He'll make a way outta no way!
Yall keep praying for me, and I'll keep you'se guys in my prayers!

Like the Wind Blows
Sometimes I just wanna write....I wanna write like the wind blows,
write frantically like the leaves of the autumn bloom....
write in utter awe like the rising of a new sun...
I wanna take my mind on vacation
from each and every entity that surrounds my outer flesh......
take it on vacation somewhere
where the wind can be seen...
where the brightness can be heard,
where you can smell the tantalizing sounds of nature's majestic beauty.
I just wanna write...
without purpose or meaning
or collaborated thoughts of sounds, melodies,
picturesque frameworks of meaningless portraits of this frugal world...
I just wanna write!
I wanna silently talk to myself......
speak to mine own whole,
so as to have a direct correlation between my spirit, mind, and soul....
I just wanna write...
on how the extensions of my writing can so eloquently express
the thoughts of my gift from above,
since no one ever clearly sees the expressions givin off by my ten tongues....
my ten tongues...my methods of motivation to release frustration,
of this calculated risk I'm taking
by living each and everyday,
contracting a new making...
of my direction,
when as I write....I realize there is none....
There is no purpose in perfection
no validity in sanity,
no collaboration in thinking...
except with ones self....
an oxymoron so to speak...
one's ownership of thine own self,
when we belong not to ourselves
but to the earth...
that birth our humble souls.
I wanna write....I write like the wind blows,
like the fragile child lones for affection,
so passionately, eloquently, openly....
so that the world may taste...
taste the flavors of my mind,
the fruits of mine own heart....
taste the transparent me...
that when you read my work...
you see me...
subliminally...
subconsciously...
because I am me.
I just wanna write.
I wanna write...I wanna write like the wind blows
like the setting of the morning dew
upon the lowest lilly of the lowest valley
surrounded by the lonliest hearts and souls......
so that they may see....
that I too have rested my soul....
have found solidarity...
have yearned for formality...
in the depths of those unstable molds...
But I still....still wanna write...write like the wind blows,
as if I'm sustained in the beauty of the earth,
above all which dwells below....
write as if all time has henced...
as if no one sees my writing but me,
as if I can write abound,
and about all that be.....
be meaningful to me...
write as if I've flown the clouds,
swam the oceans,
climb the mountains,
and treaded the sea......
I just wanna write...
Write like the wind blows,
let my words flow,
flow so passionately,
unpurposely,
meaningfully,
humbly....
from my ten tongues that be....
be my soul to set free...
free from the me inside of me...
me that dwells in the darkest corner of me...
I just wanna write...
write away fates attempts to salt my sight...
write away times attempt to halt my night...
my night before my day breaks
and brings forth yet my sense of peace, freedom, and invalid sanity.
I just wanna write....so blow wind....blow!

Fruits of the Fig Tree
Ok, Ok, Ok....so I originally hadn't planned on posting today, but lately things have been so "filled" that I had to release some way...somehow.
Originally I had planned on just coming on here and posting all of the odds and ends favorites of mine, but I'll save that for the end, so maybe you'll read the material.
Ok, I really don't feel "inspired" to write, right now, so I think I'll just ramble for a few lines until the feelings hits me...My back hurts, not complaining or nothing, but it does...the Kindred CD is really the bomb...I have too many writing utensils in this cup on my desk......my stapler doesn't work right...I just got an email...never mind...it wasn't anyone....*brain freeze*......."ok...inspired"
So I've been on this whole trip lately about jobs and what not.....you see the contract on my current job is up at the beginning of the year, so I was in need of finding something new. So the scenario goes like this....I've been applying to jobs left and right for oh say a month or so, but I wasn't too apt to post about it, because I was/am really in prayer about this. So, I'd gotten to the point where I knew God was going to work something out as He always is. Well last friday I saw a post on Monstertrak.com about a Lab Technicians job within a firm in NorthEast Atlanta. So I sent my CV/Resume to them, and didn't think I'd hear back for another week or two. Well the next day, Tuesday, the president of the company called back, and invited me in for an interview. The interview went great, and to show just how great God is....This morning (Wednesday) he called me back and offered me the job!!!!!!!!!!!!
I told him that I'm still considering another offer, but that is so great to see how God is working good into my life, where to I may be able to choose the better offer and have more leverage on which position I accept. I'm telling you man.....just have to hold out for God's Will, instead of mine own!
Ok, I'mma leave it at that until I feel further inspired to write about it!
Other than that...what's been going on with me......well we finished out last presentation in Econ on monday (Got an A)...I have a final in that class on next monday, that I really need to get an A on...
I've also gotten back into the gym heavily this week. I figure if I'm going to pay $40.00 a month, I need to take advantage of it!
Well I don't have much more to chat about today...kinda ready to get outta here..both mentally and physically! So with that said:
KJD's Favorites:
1. Food: A medium-well rib-eye steak
2. Drink: Southern Sytle Sweet Tea - with just the right amount of sugar.
3. Movie: The Matrix Trilogy
4. Website: Of course http://gentleman101.blogspot.com
5. Baseball Team: Cinncinatti Reds (because #8 is on it)
6. Football Team: Minnesota Vikings
7. Basketball Team: Dallas Mavericks
8. Sports Player: Ken Griffey Jr.
9. TV Show: Seinfield
10. Cartoon: The Simpsons (as pervertic as they are)
11. Shoes: Anything Flat Toed
12. Place to live: Anywhere away from City life....you gain so much more in life by "Emersoning" the world
13. Restaurant: Jersey Mike's ( The best hot subs this side of the Mississippi)
14. Soul Food: Collard Greens, even though they clog your arteries
15. Color: Gold, but platinum ain't bad either, lol
Well I'm done for today, so I hope you guys have a wonderful and blessed evening! Keep me in your prayers and I will do the same!

It's Getting Late...
Gooooood Evening Vietnam! So sue me.....I made it online again on this wonderful Sunday evening, and I just had to post. Ok, so I'll jump right into it! You know how you have those things in life that you are desperately trying to overcome.......those things that you just know that God doesn't want in your life, but somehow Satan continues to "manifest" them into reality.....well tonight, I took a huge hurdle in overcoming a big obstacle in my life! *Whew* *wiping brow*
So I went to World Changers Church International again today. I was suppose to meet Ms. SP at the door again, since I don’t really know too many people there….but you know that God always has a way of working things out for the betterment of His Kingdom. So here is how it went down this morning. I got up kind of late, and didn’t get out the door till like 7:10am. Well I was suppose to meet her at the door at 7:30am, so you can do the math and know that since I had to stop and get gas, and it’s a 15 minute ride to College Park, that I just wasn’t going to make it in time. Well I got there right at 7:40am, and had just missed her (so she says in a phone conversation this evening). Well anyways, I matriculated around the sanctuary, and had decided I’d sit about halfway back, since I didn’t know if I’d feel comfortable sitting towards the front without Ms. SP. Well the usher asked me if I wanted to take a seat near the front, but I told him that I’d rather take one about halfway back in the church. Well at that point, something hit me, and I changed my mind and decided I’d head towards the front. Well, the usher further down, began to escort me further and further down the audience. I ended up in the 5th row!!!
Side note: Ok, about this whole “where I sit in church thing”. For those of you who don’t know, I come from a little old country town, and I’m use to having an intimate vibe in church and with the pastor, so I’ve always been self conscious about sitting far back at WCCI. I just feel like I won’t get that whole intimate feeling, either during praise & worship, or during the message. So me ending up on the 5th row definitely suited my needs….Thank you Lord!
[End]
Well he preached today on Fear, which has been part of his ongoing series. For further info about the message, check out my daily inspirations http://www.walkingwithchrist.blogspot.com/ (which should be up before tonight is over).
Anywho, so we got out of church around 10:30 and I was able to make it home right at 11:00am. So for the rest of the day, I have really been trying to enjoy myself and get some much needed rest for the up and coming week. Hopefully I’ll hear something back about a new job, and I have my next to last Case Study to present tomorrow (Monday) in my Decision Analysis Econ class. I actually don’t have to speak in this presentation, so that takes a huge burden off my shoulders, lol. But I’m quite sure that I’ll get stuck adding in my two cents into the presentation.
Backtracking….well lets see, Friday, we went to this AKA’s coming out party, which was cool…for the most part. I met up with some of my chapter bruhs and my line brothers. We had a good old time as we also brought in the Anniversary of Alpha Phi Alpha….98 Years and Counting!!! I took KM with me, so that he could meet some of my chapter bruhs since he claims we don’t ever come out, lololol… but I had a good time. I haven’t figured out why God has brought He and I close as friends, but I’m quite sure he has his own purpose! I’m just a sheep in his flock!
Saturday….what “did” I do Saturday? Well since we didn’t get in until 3:30am, I slept in till around 10:30am. TD (roommate) and I went to Waffle House after the party, and reminisced about the past. Ohhhhhhhhh, that’s what I did on Saturday……NCAA Football 2005! Yeah, I remember now, you see I had originally planned on playing all night Friday, but since we went to the party, and I had to help KM and KD move some furniture, I didn’t get a chance to. Not to mention I got a ticket for not have my seatbelt on……those dang “click it or ticket folx” hahaha. So Saturday was devoted to PS2, and I actually got to sleep at a reasonable time!
Well its getting late, and plus I really need to update my other page, so I’ll catch up with you guys tomorrow……..hope you all have a blessed and wonderful night!

Wrapping it Up!
Ok, So I've broke down today as the clock winds closer to 4pm, and have decided to type my thoughts down in 0's and 1's so that I won't forget them as I normally do.
Wow o' Wow....what's been going on in the life of KJD. Well lets begin with Thanksgiving. As usual we had a large crowd for breakfast. But this year, instead of the normal 15-20 guests, we ended up serving nearly 30 some odd people. It got to the point to where I thought Joe Blows were just walking in off the street. But all in all it was good. Thanksgiving Dinner was more laid back though. Not as many people. More of my immediate family and friends came to my folx house. I promise my mother cooked more food than was needed. I remember waking up Friday morning only to find the 2nd turkey "uncut"....and a second pan of dressing that wasn't touch...needless to say, that by Sunday it was all gone though. Greedy Fort Valley folx, lol! I was kind of under the weather on Thanksgiving though. I spent most of the day with my best friend's..."Theraflu and Alka Seltzer." Friday me and KS hung out, which was cool. I finally, after about a month and a half got me another steak....this time it was from Waffle House though. Anywho, I didn't do much shopping over the holidays though, due to a lack of funding, but I did come across some slacks that I'd been wanting. They were the microfiber kind......those are the only ones I buy now a days. I enjoyed hanging out with my folx that weekend........I remember thursday night, we all got together at a friends house, and I promise you guys, it seemed like my entire teamfrom the 1999 PCHS Trojan Football Team was there. If I'm correct, there was a LB, three CB's, two TE's, a DE, a WR, a FB, and a RB.....I'll use their positions to refrain from mentioning their names. Anywho, the funny thing was that, we were playing NCAA 2005 Football on PS2 when this group of girls came through. Now normally most guys would just drop the controllers and focus on the girls....but not this time...all the guys acted as if they weren't even there....mostly because of the game...but also because they weren't the most attractive bunch either. But all in all it was good fun. I kinda miss hanging out with those guys though. It really brought back fond memories. We sat up till around 1:30 reminising about playing in the Georgia Dome, and playing for the State Championship....about all the dumb things we use to do before games.....ahhhh the memories.
So monday came, and I was back in Atlanta. My company held a big career fair for all of its non-agreement employees to expose them to all areas of the company. So I went, and hopefully, I'll find a new job within the Revenues and Accounting Department. I really want something new....and I really need it by the beginning of the year. So you'se guys keep my in your prayers.
Tuesday, somehow seemed to come and go so fast. Funny thing though...It was my birthday, hahahaha. So Late Happy Birthday to ME! Anywho, so I'm sitting in the office tuesday morning, and a co-worker of mine comes in and basically gives me four tickets to the Hawks game, without even knowing it was my birthday...aint God Good!! So I invited some of my closest friends and we had a blast. But I didn't know that food at the game costs so much!!!
Birthday Gifts:
Momma: A Poster of the origin and meaning of my real name....Best Gift Ever
She also gave me a book on Success. She's always good for those types of gifts.
KS: The First person to tell me happy birthday
Sway: An American Express Gift Certificate, and a great card.
Cat: A Card, and some loot.
BP: Four Tickets to the Hawks vs. Knicks game
PPATL: A bunch of shout outs on the list serve!!
I also had an interview with Wentworth Marketing. For those of you out there that have ever thought and/or consider applying with them...please let this be a warning to show that everything that glitters isn't golden! I think the people are mad cool....but the job just wasn't for me...even though they offered me the job....wednesday
Wednesday, well I had the second interview with WM, and this is what made me see that it just wasn't worth it. I mean I don't mind putting in hard work or anything, but commission based pay....nahhhh. It just seemed like one of those get rich quick schemes. Anywho, yesterday was really stressful. I had planned on going to WC for Bible Study last night, but considering that I didn't get out of the interview till 8:00pm last night....well you can gather that for yourself.
I also went to the dentist yesterday. I'm really adament about getting some sort of dental work done. Its not like my mouth is all jacked up or nothing, but its something that I've been wanting for quite some time now. So I hope that goes well. I made an appointment today with one of the top Orthodontist in the nation, so we'll see how that goes as well....
And so here I sit....its thursday....not much has gone on today. I woke up this morning, so that was a blessing...made it to work at a decent time. Had a decent lunch......and I'm glad it's 3:34pm. Hopefully by the time I get finish posting, I can pack my bags and be out the door, lol. I've got class tonight, so I hope that goes well. I really wanna finish the semester off on a good note ya know?
So you'se guys be safe, and keep me in your prayers....and I'll do the same!
