You know how most times you reflect on dayz past and you are like "dang, did that really happened to me". Well, this past weekend was 10 times that amount. I'll attempt to break it down into dayz, so as not to go off on too bad a tangent.
Friday-
After work, I had promised a friend that we'd get together and watch a movie, order pizza, and chill. So I hit the apartment up after work, changed and headed out kinda early, knowing that I didn't want to stay there late, 'cause of what "could" incur, lol. We ended up ordering the pizza around 7:30, and watched Head of State, with Chris Rock (by far his best acting job when you really watch the movie). Keep in the mind, the movie was at least 2hrs long. So by the time the credits began to scroll the page...........THE PIZZA STILL WASN''T THERE!!!! By then, we were both starvin. So we called Pizza Hut, and asked what the problem was. The woman claimed that the driver had left 15mins earlier, which made since, because it was about a 20min drive. So she claimed that the would be there within the next 5 mins. So 5mins go by.....10mins...15...and by then we are like, just screw it....so we called and complained, and stated that we wanted our food for free, which she inturn told us that all she could do was give up a free pizza on our next order, so we both were like WTH? We cancelled the order and decided on Chinese instead, which turned out not to be good at all. The night ended around 11:30, with no harm done.
Saturday-
I woke up with all intention on going to help "the kid" move on saturday morning, but then I realized that KSU was open from 9-12, and that if I hurried I could get everything for classes taken care of, including financial stuff. So, I did. Rushed up I75 which was trafficless on a satruday morning, Thank God, lol! I got my issues with KSU taken care of as well as getting the 2 classes that I want. Stopped back at Walmart to pick up somethings and headed back to the house. Had some of the best sleep till VLG called and asked if I was still going to help "the kid". I couldn't say no, plus I had never really talked to RDR on a one on one level, so I knew it was bound to happen. I must contribute an entire paragraph to RDR in efforts to laugh again at our first experience:
"Have you ever seen the movie 'Speed', where Keanu Reeves tells Sandra Bullock, 'Relationships, that begin under extreme conditions, never ususally work out'. Well, thats how I felt after Saturday about RDR. By the time I got to her new place, everything had already been moved there, she just need some minor unpacking and to take some additional stuff to storage. So we all loaded up in the cars, and ironically I ended up in the passenger seat of her Toyota Corola. So we leave, conversation was good.....then we are in the middle of a discussion, and at a yield sign when all of a sudden this nut "hits" us from behind. I just thought she had stripped the clutch, and didn't know how to drive a stick, but then realized that she wasn't driving a stick. So we pulled over, and the dude get out of the car and proceeds to lie to us about how his license had been revoked due to unpaid parking tickets. We both felt bad, and didn't want to call the cops, but after talking to RDR's mom, she decided that it was the best thing to do. Which inturn was the best. The cops came and did a report. Come to find out the nut did have a license, but had an expired tag. Which pissed both me and RDR off, cause he had lied to us, and just didn't want us to call the cops. We were thinking that was gonna lock this dude, up, but the sorry cops of smyrna, just let him drive off. Good thing her car wasn't damaged too much, and I hope she gets it settled quick. But aside from the drama of the car accident. I believe God had more in store for us. That accident actually gave me time to get to know some small minut details about her. I use have the assumption that she had an up north accent, and wasn't trully from "the south" (even though she's from Miss.), but after catching her southern drawl while we waited dang near half an hour for the cops to show up, I saw that she was trully a southern belle. Anywho, needless to say "kid", you made my day. So to make a long story short, the cops came and wrote up the report and sent us on our ways.
Back to Saturday....told you I had a wild weekend! Saturday night, one of the sorors had a birthday/slumber party at the W hotel in Buckhead. Best hotel I've ever stayed at, including Cancun. We didn't have a slew of folx show up, but all the right ones made it there. Most of the other Pham, headed to South Atlanta which was cool, 'cause another soror had a party the same night. So we played Taboo (I am the King of Taboo, lol), Spades, BlackJack, and watched movies till around 3:00am, when I started to get sleepy. I contimplated going home, but I wanted to keep my word and stay....so I went from sleeping on the floor, to the recliner, and somehow woke up in the bedroom....go figure...I wasn't drunk, but I don't really remember how I got there......those women....taking advantage of me while I was sleep, lolololol. So needless to say, Sunday morning soon came.
Sunday-
The previous night I got a chance to meet some new sorors, which seems to happen at every function. I think before I die, I'll know all sorors in the USA, lol. This one soror had to be about 35, lol. Walks up in the room, already drunk as a skunk (sp.). Man, she had an apple martini in hand and busted in the door smiling from ear to ear. I find it hard to believe she got that wasted from the front desk to the elevator to the 2nd floor, so I'll contimplate she could have been arrested for DUI, lol. Anywho. After cleaning up on Sunday, we were out of the hotel by 2:00pm, and I dropped off LOM at her condo. She asked me to come in, which I did, and ended up not leaving till around 5pm! We watched Chris Rock's 'Bigger & Blacker' on HBO and just shot the breeze. After realizing we both were hungry, we went to Olive Garden on my side of town (after a stop off at my place to change). Dinner was cool, and we conversed about mutual friends. I realized we knew a lot of the same people that were not in the Phamily. So that ended the night and hence the weekend (minus other odds and ends that might incriminate me, lol, ohhhhhhhh), but I'll leave those for my thoughts. But I will put this one out there. I did gain a crush on someone whom I've known for a minute, this weekend. Maybe I talked about them in this post...then again, maybe I didn't.
So hence begins my new work week. I just hope this weekend is as promising as last, and that I get to have another conversation with that someone, even if its small and political which most of my conversations tend to be. Back to the grind.
P.S. Just because I think she is cute, it only means that I find her attractive, not that I'm attracted to her...that takes time.
