Ok, I really can't believe it's been this long since I've "blogged". I'm looking a nearly a month now, but I guess I can't complain, because it's been longer than that at other times. Oh, well, on with the life and times of KJD.
Have you ever seen that movie You've Got Mail? Well if you have you'll understand clearly when I say that I can "hear" myself talk. It's funny though because I can't fully clarify what my voice sounds like, but I can hear it....strange.
So I've decided to slow life down some. What do you mean KJD? Well, there are things I want to enjoy in life, places I want to see, things I want to accomplish. And for the life of me, for the last year or so, I've been in this fast pace mode where it seems like everything I was doing had to be done "yesterday". One thing I'm going to take a lot less serious is this "work" thing. I mean don't get me wrong, I take pride in my job, but now that I'm getting around the curve, I'm ready for new ventures....more subtle ventures.
What ventures KJD?
So for lunches now a days, I've decided to enjoy the scenery of the midtown area, here in Atlanta. So anyday, from 12:35 - 12:50 or so you can probably find me parading down the 1200 area of Peachtree St. Disclaimer: Not on some Baton Bob escapade (if you know what I mean). I ususally take a nice walk down to the Star Bucks, where I have resided today to spend the remaining 30-40 mins of my lunch break, expressing my thoughts.
Speaking of my thoughts:
I think the people around these parts are rather eclectic. I mean just in the 10 mins it takes me to walk down the street, I see so many different people roaming the sidewalks. I mean you don't find thre prototypical "down south" country individuals. You find the caucasian(s), and I use the term caucasian, because it best fits the type of people that I see. I mean nearly 75% of them clearly aren't from the U.S. and the other 24% are broken down into some other variation of "white", lol. Needless to say, the other 1% are the black folx like myself I guess. Many seem to be coming from the Ken Nugent Lawfirm off of Peachtree. Maybe I'm a little too nosey to know that huh?
Ok, so on this whole "slowing down" phase, there are some things that I'm realizing about myself. So in no random order:
1. Dating is diffucult. Why you say? Because these days we run into the "cookie-cut" women. Cookie cut as it a housing subdivision. All houses in one subdivision look and are assembled one way, and another subdivision a totally different way.
For example, you have you "petite women" (term used loosely for clarification). These women are so use to being chased by men, that they have become comfortable in this role, and see no reason why they should "settle down". You see the thing about these types of women, is that they are rather attractive, yet have little to no ambition about moving forward in a relationship. And the twist about these types of women is that they will date the "thug". Now at first I never understood why, but now I do. You see they date these types of men, because they (the socialists -formally called thugs), will not make any mention of the woman changing her ways of gathering in all the attention from other guys....simply because he doesn't care if she stays or goes...and 9 times out of 10, that is her 2nd rationale for being involved with multiple "socialists".
Then you have the grande woman (I use grande simply because sitting here in Starbucks, you consistantly hear the term thrown around. Now these women, these women aren't use to having a man approach them, so often times they will get the nerve to approach you...and approach you in a rather aggresive way. Bad move women, bad move. You see, this type of woman knows what she wants on the surface, but underneath is heavily insecure, and the more you get to know her, the more she shows that insecurity, which often times is why a guy will like the grande woman in the beginning, but lose interest in the long run. Personally, I steer clear, becauase I've been down the pre-discussed path in the past. ( there is more, but I reserve the right to come back and finish later.)
Then you have the mocha women. The term is used because it's not as strong as straight coffee, but not as bland as a regualar frappacino. Now thing type of woman has seemingly found the perfect blend of the petite woman and the grande woman. Bad thing is......they have decided to take all the "bad" attributes. They took the "I want a socialists" part from the petite woman, and the "I'm insecure" part from the grande woman. And what makes it so bad, is that this cookie cutter type woman has no definition of her own, and often times looks for the guy to "give" her definition. Now, the good thing about her is that she will do a heck of a job keeping herself up, but in my personal opinion, its what's underneath that counts.
2. If KJD actually puts time into anything, he "really" can accomplish it. It's just that I have a small issue with total dedication to a venture. Albeit, school, work, church....whatever the situation may be. But the good thing about it is that, I'm learning from it.
*Ok, so I spent so much time on #1, I have to get back to work~!
Maybe I'll come back after work, and finish "Talking to myself".
See you around KJD.
