Life does in fact....mellow

Ok, so I've decided to open up a little bit about the odds and ends that are happening on this Journey; in a humorous way.

Today's Randomness:
So I'm walking into work one day when I notice two gentleman preceding me as the three of us begin to enter the building. The first guy notices the two of us walking behind him, and proceeds to do the nice thing; holding the door for us. Instead of taking the gentleman up on the gesture, the 2nd guy promptly slides to the opposite side of the door and looks at the 1st guy; as if to say "no....after you". They look at each other, not speaking a word. So as I approach the door, this entire seen looks increasingly "odd". Are they competing to see which one of them can be the nicest? Does the 2nd guy think it's gay to have a guy open the door for him? What exactly is the 1st guy thinking......

All the while, the 3rd guy (me)....looks at both of them as I walk through the door; one guy on my left, the other on my right....looking at each other....trying to decide what to do next.

Hilarious!
---------------------------------------

So I moved this past weekend...which probably attributes to my lack of blogging over the past week. I like the new place. It's nice, quaint, seemingly peaceful, etc. Now I will admit that it doesn' t have the appeal of living in a loft, overlooking the main street of a medium sized metropolitan area, but I will say that the past 3 days have been quite peaceful. Not to mention the fact that I'm saving $500 in rent. Well I guess it really isn't $500; because when you take into account the fact that I now have to pay for cable, internet, and water, I'm really only saving about $350 per month. But hey, that's $350 that can go towards the new car!! You know, I don't normally listen to all the things that Suze Orman says (simply because she's never been in my position), but I am taking her up on this "paying your car off in 3 years" idea. So the plan is to have the new car paid off by January 2012, God willing.

What else is new? Oh, I've decided to take 3 classes in the fall semester. That should put me at 21 graduate hours of a 30 hour program. I promise you this though...after this Masters...I'm done, lol. School is punishing to the mind, lol....ok, maybe a I'll go for my Doctorate if I can find a program that will let me work while pursuing it.

What else is new....I know there was something that I wanted to blog about today, but I just can't remember it. I always have these epiphanies when I'm away from the computer, and I say to myself "I've gotta get this down on my blog". But by the time I finally take out time to type, the thought is gone. I used to want to get one of those voice recorders; but doesn't that mean that I'm in early stages of alzheimers.....probably not...but I used a few extra "memory" sticks in my brain.

I'm taking off today....1330 to be exact. With 90 degree weather in the mid atlantic, I just have to hit the beach...but don't tell nobody, lol. Well except Time...you can tell her.....nope....you can't...she'll be in the passenger seat. She's cool...things are mellowing between she and I. The trance of being infatuated is subsiding, and I'm beginning to see more sides of her. That's a good thing though, to start noticing the variety of sides of a person during the friendship stage. I think it's healthy for the long term; whether that be a friendship or a relationship.

Well it's almost 1200, and I need to hammer out some things before I leave. But trust and believe, I'll be back....

Until then,
Journey
