Brighter Day

Hey!!! Well as you can see, this week's artist of the week has been Kirk Franklin. I hope you guys enjoyed the song "Something about the Name Jesus"....its been one of my favorites since back in 98'. Speaking of Kirk, I was jammin to Timi's christian radio blog.....and she has that song, Brighter Day, by Kirk and the Family.....man you talkin about jammin!!! : 0 ) Anyways, it's friday, and I promise, I'm really trying to get away from these two blog posts a week thing....trully I am. So what's on the agenda for this weekend you ask? Well:

I'm suppose to be meeting a friend of mine for lunch today. We're going to Mick's @ underground....never been there before, so I hope the food is good. I skipped breakfast this morning, so needless to say I hope they don't mind me piggin out, lol. After work, me & sway are suppose to be getting up. After attending her church that night, she and I have become fast friends. It's always good to have friends in Christ with whom you can converse with without getting sucked into the worldly aspect of it. I still don't know where we are going, although, I've told her like 4 or 5 times that I'd find some place, lol. Anywho, as you probably know by now, Friday nites belong to KJD, so after the sun goes down, its time to clown! I think I'll get a couple of games of NCAA 2005 in and then hit up the mall later on tonight......if sway decides to dip out on me, lol. But needless to say I'll try to have a quasi safe time tonight.....ohhhhhhhh I just remembered.....I'mma go and get some halloween candy for the kids tonight....maybe I'll make some bible flash cards and stuff those in with them...(*trying to rebuke the Devil in any way possible*)

Side Note: A lot of people don't like Halloween, because of its satanistic views, but I say, If God opens up a window...take advantage of it, and He will pour you out a blessing. So I hope the flash cards work, lol!

Well Saturday, MG & I are suppose to be back on and skating at Sparkles in Smyrna. I dunno though, cause if I can't get in for free (it's 7.50 per person) then I dunno if I'll be making that trip, lol. Also, she hasn't been feeling well lately so I don't know if we'll get a major workout in tomorrow.

There is suppose to be a couple of stepshows going on for the AUC (Atlanta University Center, i think) HomeComing. Tickets, I've heard are only $5, so that might just be my saturday afternoon treat. TD is going outta town this weekend, so I'll have some extra quiet time around the house.

I'm definitely, without a doubt going to church on Sunday though....I need the Lord...He knows I do! Which leads me to the focus of my post today:

"So a couple of days ago, I had a revelation about why/when God really rains down blessings upon my life! I came to the notion that "tithing" plays a major importance in His blessings. It isn't like I didn't already know that, but it was more of a self analyzation about how I paid my tithes. Unfortunately, it hasn't been like its suppose to be, but I made a commitment to Him that I'd get on the ball whole heartly, and I trully believe He hears my prayers. So I'm praying right....and the only thing I can muster out of my soul was 'God, I need a miracle'....and that has been my phrase for the past week or so. I do, I really do....but it doesn't have to be that Million Dollar Miracle......I only need the miracle of putting my heart, soul, and mind at ease by His grace and mercy...and I believe that all other "issues" will take care of themselves. So that is my Motto from Hence Forth. No more character is defined as ......nope...no more of that. I have big plans, and He is dead smack in the middle of them. He is my stronghold, my air, my purpose! Preciate it God, and thank you Christ!"
