I know that often times we get caught up in using the words "God is Good all the Time" & "All the Time, God is Good"....but when you can clearly see Him working in your life, and can see the visible blessings being bestowed upon your life......now that is a beautiful thing!
So yesterday, I went on a job interview with another department at NS. The Industrial Engineering Department is more of what I got my degree in, and also it would give me the opportunity to gain a whole lot more experience.
Now allow me to tell you how God is so Good:
Well it started Monday! We always have Bible study here at my job on monday's during lunch. Well there is this guy name Ken (about 50 or so), who is an architect within the department. He's about the only guy that I can really say that I feel cool going to talk to about various things/ideas. Well Bible Study went great, and afterwards I made up in my mind that I'd go and speak to him, and ask him if he knew of any positions open in my field of study here at NS. Well the conversation went great. He gave me some really good ideas, and outlooks not just about the work force, but about life. Anywho, he put me in touch with a friend of his in Industrial Engineering, who in turn put me in touch with the guy that does the hiring. Albeit, the possible hiring is just for another Grad Co-Op position, it allows me to be able to go to school & and work January - December Full Time!! Well, I called the guy on Wednesday, and asked about the position.....told him who I was and what my plans are...and then he scheduled me an appointment for Thursday (yesterday). So I was really pumped about it. Anywho, so I went to interview yesterday, resume & transcript in hand. The interview went great, with the exception of the other applicant being and actual IE major, which mean she has the upper hand in getting the job in that view, but considering that she doesn't already work for NS, I have the upper hand in that sense. So he told me that he would be able to make a decision by today (Friday) and let me know something after lunch. Whew! So needless to say I have been doing some major praying for the past 24 hrs. !!!!!! Anywho, if I get it great, if not, I know that God has something even better for me! Speaking of which.....
So my brother has been in town for the past week. He crashed at my place Monday - Wednesday, and then at a friends place on Wednesday nite. Well, push came to shove and he needed me to take him back home (which I really didn't want to do, but I felt God speaking to me, and letting me know that that would be a great 1.5 hr time period to express more about Christ to my brother). So we got in the car, and he subsequently tried to change my radio from Gospel to D'Angelo, in which I said "How do you know I wasn't listening to that (Gospel)?" He left the radio there, and God begin to move.......from the time we hit 285 South from Stone Mt. till the time we hit Fort Valley Georgia, God moved in both of our lives. His words filled my 2001 Kia Sephia, lol...........which was soooooo Great, cause for once, I knew that that was where God wanted me to be! And to show his blessing in reality, I insert the following story.....
You see, there is this little shop in Fort Valley called "Ping's". Its a fish joint owned by this guy (commonly named Ping, lol) who also works at Lockheed Martin, which is where I really have been wanting to get a job at. Well, everytime I go home, and I do mean everytime......I ALWAYS go to Ping's first! First before I go to mom's house, First before I go to Dad's house, First before I go anywhere else. So upon getting into Fort Valley, I dropped my brother off, and headed to Ping's (cause they have the best Catfish this side of the Mississippi). I walked in, and everytime I go there, I always ask Ping the same questions:
1. How is everything at Lockheed?
2. Are you gonna get me a job there?
And everytime he normally says the same response:
1. Things are going great, the money is good.
2. Bring me your resume, and well see what we can do. (Which I usually never have one and forget to bring him one!)
Well this time his responses were different. First he said that he had just recieved a promotion at Lockheed, and that he was getting paid a lot more, lol. So I proceeded with my normal question......Are you gonna get me a job there, lol........so he asked for my resume as normal......but here is the twist......you see yesterday I had a previous job interview....and before that interview, I printed out "3" resumes......so two of them was still in the car!!!! AINT GOD GOOD!!!!!
I gave him my resume, which he looked over, and said that he should definitely be able to get me a job there. Told me that his supervisor should be calling me next week, and to give him a call shortly afterwards!
AINT GOD GOOD!!!!
So the moral of my story is that God is good! I paid my tithes last sunday, openly, freely, and without worry! I've spoke the Word to my brother on the way home. I am getting out of self and allowing God to get into me! And I know that He is going to, and already is working Miracles in my life! I told you guys, that my new motto is "God, I need a Miracle" and Lord knows.........mine is coming!
Thank you Jesus, for being my Lord & Savior
You guys have a blessed and safe weekend
[God I need a Miracle]
