It has been 104...

Days since I last opened up my life and allowed access to my blog world. As I sit here in from of his synchronized series of zeros and ones I realize that sooooo much has taken place since that day back in September. I actually sat down and read my last post "Make-Up" yesterday; and man is it still true. I've run into several people like that since my last post.

Anywhos....where do I even begin to catch up. Well let's see....since Sept. 5th the following events have taken place:

#1: The financial markets across the world have tumbled.
#2: In the midst of this global recession, I managed to get a NEW JOB with a 30% pay increase. (I'll write more on this one below).
#3: I finished off another class...gosh this third time around the halls of academia are trying!
#4: I'm still single (more on this below)
#5: Barack was elected as our first Minority President (I'll have to devote a whole post to this one).
#6: Bush let go of his free-market principles.
#7: Sean Hannity is sounding more and more like a cry baby on Faux Non-News every night.

Ok, in lieu of murmuring on and on about things that don't have a direct effect on me, and since Obama is going to get his own personal post, I'll address numbers 2 & attempt to take stab at #4 today.

As of today 12/18/08, almost 2 million, yep that's 2,000,000 people in the US have lost their jobs. Crazy man. In the midst of it all, God is still in control. I got a 30% pay increase in October of this year. Only God can make that kind of move. But then again, I have been working on sowing good seeds these days. As a matter of fact, I think that's going to be one of my new mottos for the new year.....Sowing Successful Seed in Sound Ground (4SG).

I like my new job though....really. I know a lot of people say that they hate going to work, or they wish they could be doing something else in life. Well in reality, I like where I am, work wise. It's not the corner office overlooking the city anymore, but I'm happy. In case you didn't know, I'm a statistician by trade now. Who would have thunk it, lol. I am tasked with looking at a cross section of numbers and actually making sense of them.....sounds strange considering that I said I "like my new job", lol. But like most things in life, everything isn't for everyone.

Ok, on to a lighter note. I'm a bachelor! Actually I've been thinking about applying for one of those Bachelor TV shows. I mean, why not me....they always have non-ethnic guys on there. I think they need a little flavor to spice up their ratings. Maybe they can put me in a new suit everyday; show me off in front of dozens of beautiful women...and let me pick who I'd like to give a ring.....one that I didn't pay for...hahaha. On the real though....I'm 27.....and I'm looking around.....everyone's married. Now from that statement I could go in one of two routes....route 1 = maybe I should be married...route 2 = my married friends have more issues in life than I do....hmmmmm I think I'll go with route 2 and keep chugging along.

Anywhos it's 12:03 and perhaps I should do some work....but don't fret....the clock ticks off the time sheet at 4:30pm.....so I'm game for another good conversation this evening.

Be on the lookout for me!

Oh, and thanks to Ms. K. Williams for the inspiration to get back on the Journey.
